So so what if your first breath after coming out of that sudden glow felt like you'd never really breathed before? You were out of that place, run is blown, nobody's getting what they want. The hallucinations weren't making you feel any more inclined to feel secure about any part of that, either. You couldn't see a damn thing for a while there, but it felt damn good. You don't have any idea what was in there, but whatever it was, it was bright. And was is the right word as you were overhead, it was struck by a series of rockets and stray spellfire simultaneously, and broke. More than a dozen meters on its smallest side, it was a hugely ornate riot of golds, silvers, precious stones, and other metals. Once the tarps, ropes, and other packing material around it burned away in a rapidly expanding set of secondary fires, you immediately pegged it as what Johnson was really looking for when he hired you. You called it that in your head, as it demanded capitalization. Eventually, you ended up trying to cross over an internal cargo bay via some catwalks, when the Box was uncovered. Worse, someone else seemed to feel he was being shown up, and started throwing around hellballs like they were candy, too. Someone apparently brought a pile of rockets to the party, and was eager to share. Worse, while you were making your way across the ship, another runner team got into a running firefight with security, which spilled over onto you and your team. Security was way tighter than any container ship should have needed, for one. Turns out, your employer wasn't the only party with an interest here. You and the others got on board the ship just fine, a few dozen miles out from Seattle, but that's when things went wrong. Usual bit of nonsense with the guy not wanting to give any real information or support, but the pay was good and it didn't sound too complicated. Johnson wanted a cargo ship diverted to a different dock, ideally with nobody realizing it before it was too late to stop. I have a blog/site that specializes in 3rd edition and I did an article on basic all purpose character advice for any archetype here.It started out like any other run, nothing special. (funfact-enhanced articulation adds a die to B/R rolls in 3rd because it helps with fine motor control.) The latter gives Task pool which is one of the few things that can boost B/R rolls. Remember Math SPU! Encephalon is also great. There are some Knowledge skills that are good to look at too (several are listed in thr Matrix 3.) The big thing you need is Computers(Decking)-Electronics is good and so is Computer B/R. Reason techies do better with skills B is the B/R skills are separate. you could even grab a 6 if you don't mind dropping other things. you only lose 3 attribute points going to C you could have a fairly slick 4/4/3/3/5/5 split. If you want a more techie decker, or combat decker, or just hybrid decker in general, B skills for sure. If you want more of pure decker with some backup gun skills or whatnot, C skills is fine so you can pump Int and Will (Body can come into play too.) Depends what you're going for with the decker.
